ViTables is a graphical tool for browsing and editing files in both PyTables and HDF5 formats.
During the talk we will show the goals and capabilities of ViTables through an interactive session in which a wide range of examples will be shown. The selected examples will make apparent some of the ViTables goals, like the very fast opening of files (even those with thousand of nodes) or the quick navigation of large tables (browsing tables with more that one thousand millions of rows will be demonstrated).
Other ViTables features will be also mentioned: easy of use, supported platforms, tight integration with PyTables, etc.
